Orion Marine Group owns and operates a fleet of almost 400 vessels and specialized pieces of marine equipment to meet even the most toughest challenges.  By owning the majority of its equipment, Orion Marine Group can control a project's critical path ensuring the right equipment is available to get the job done.  Additionally, Orion Marine Group self-maintains its equipment primarily in its own yards to reduce down time and increase efficiency.

Spud Barges

At the heart of its construction operation, Orion Marine Group owns, operates, and maintains over 62 spud barges that act as a floating platform for shallow water projects.  When combined with a crawler crane, this powerful tool is the staple to effectively executing even the toughest projects.

Cranes and Other Equipment

One of the staples in marine construction is the ability to provide heavy lift operations for jobs.  Orion Marine Group operates and maintains a fleet of over 204 cranes and associated pieces of equipment which are primarily owned by the Company.  Generally, Orion Marine Group utilizes similar cranes allowing economies of scale and reduced down time due to part and maintenance similarities. 

Dredge Fleet

Orion Marine Group owns, operates, and maintains a state-of-the-art modern dredge fleet that includes 9 cutter suction dredges and 4 portable dredges strategically positioned along the Gulf Coast and Eastern Seaboard.  Included in this fleet, is one of only a few fully electric dredges that can operate 100% on shore power virtually eliminating any emissions.  Additionally, many dredges in the fleet are outfitted with state-of-the-art electronic monitoring systems that give a real-time accurate look into the performance of the dredge.

Tug and Push Boats

To support its total operations, Orion Marine Group operates a fleet of over 60 boats that provide in-house tug and push capabilities.  By owning and maintaining its own fleet of tug and push boats, Orion Marine Group is able to control the progress of projects and have the right equipment available at the right time.
